Used part. Air valve on the inlet manifold on 1.6 mk1 MX-5's & Eunos Roadster, 1989-1993 (Also MX5 mk1 UK version 1994-98). This controls the idle when cold, and works on coolant temperature, it is not electrically controlled and does not give any diagnostic error codes if it is faulty. New ones are about £80 from Mazda.
